Charles E. Potts is a recognized fintech innovator whose career spans founding, scaling, and advising digital banking and payments companies that have achieved successful exits through IPOs and strategic acquisitions. A frequent speaker at national conferences, he is widely regarded for his ability to align community banking needs with emerging technologies that transform financial services.
As Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer of the Independent Community Bankers of America® (ICBA), Potts leads efforts to foster fintech partnerships and advance digital solutions for community banks nationwide. His prior roles include Executive Managing Director at First Performance Global, where he guided international business development for a fraud alert and card-control platform, and CEO of NetClarity, an entrepreneurial venture within the University of Florida’s Business Incubation Hub. He also served at Georgia Tech’s Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC), mentoring fintech startups and driving industry growth.
Potts studied at the Georgia Institute of Technology, completed graduate studies at Georgia State University, and attended the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
