Jacques Cabana boasts a robust career, initially rising to senior officer ranks within the Canadian Armed Forces, specializing in operations, logistics, human resources, leadership training, and information technology. He played pivotal roles in various companies, including as CEO of Flight Dynamics Corp. and the founder and CEO of FDC Aero Composites, which was later acquired by the bt2i Group -- a multinational aerospace Group in 2021. Since 2021, Mr. Cabana has excelled as a business advisor, offering strategic counsel to diverse companies, and serving as an Investor and Senior Advisor for Black Dragon Capital, focusing on technology companies in growth sectors.
His military tenure included commanding multinational troops during the Bosnian conflict and serving as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for a prominent pan-Canadian group under the Canadian Department of National Defense. He transitioned to the corporate sector in 2003.
Mr. Cabana holds a bachelor’s degree in management and a master’s degree in business administration from HEC Montréal Business School. Additionally, he possesses qualifications from the Canadian Army Command and Staff College and the Canadian Forces Logistics Officer Advanced Course. Certified by the Logistics Institute of Canada and a member of the Order of Human Resources and Industrial Relations Advisors of Quebec, Mr. Cabana has also contributed to various private company boards of directors and non-profit organizations engaged in economic development, international development, and health initiatives.
