Sarah Hernandez is the Special Projects Director of Black Dragon Capital and manages the shared services group that manages all corporate travel, events and coordinates IT Administration. She has almost two decades of experience providing project management, coordination and communications support to investors, boards of directors and senior management in a variety of sectors, from banking technology, media technology, content, the defense industry, and the U.S. military.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Hernandez assisted with Investor Relations, transaction support, and helped establish the shared services group to lower costs, and standardize services to the portfolio companies. Before Black Dragon, Ms. Hernandez was a project manager at Open Solutions, where she managed the board of directors’ projects, press interactions, and key speaking events for the Chairman and CEO and other key executives. Prior to that, she served as an executive assistant and project manager to the chairman and CEO of Colt Defense, a weapons sales representative, and the lead ISO auditor.
Ms. Hernandez has the distinction of having served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an aviation operation specialist for the presidential Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1 or Marine One) receiving an honorable discharge with the rank of sergeant. Ms. Hernandez earned her Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice Administration at Park University.
